Mohd Ali labels DAP reps as being ‘afraid’

MALACCA: The walkout staged by DAP representatives shows that they are not willing to deal with the issue, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said.

“If this involved a Barisan backbencher, I am sure they would press for an answer. They are always blaming others of playing dirty politics, but they’re afraid to provide an answer to the question,” he said.

Mohd Ali said the five DAP lawmakers felt guilty and wanted to evade answering the question surrounding the Penang woman.

“Why are they so afraid? (Datuk) Gan Tian Loo was bold in raising the question as many sought his help to bring it up.

“This showed that the Opposition is not accountable and transparent as it always propagates,” he said after the sitting.
