Najib: BN has delivered

BANGI: Barisan Nasional has kept its promises to the people via its “Twin-3K” approach for the past 55 years, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
The Prime Minister said “Twin-3K” represents keamanan dan keselamatan (peace and security), kestabilan dan keharmonian (stability and harmony) and kemakmuran dan kemajuan (prosperity and development).
Najib, who is Barisan chairman, said the approach would go together with this year's 55th Merdeka Day celebrations themed “Promises Fulfilled”.
“The promises have been carried out by the Barisan over the last 55 years. Our (Barisan) slogan of Promises Fulfilled' are not mere words but for us to help the rakyat,” he said during a Barisan roadshow in Bandar Baru Bangi here yesterday.
For the people: Najib completing a huge poster with a ‘Janji Ditepati’ art work during the Barisan roadshow in Bandar Baru Bangi. Looking on is Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Noh Omar. Najib said Barisan's promises for the people were in stark contrast to the Pakatan Rakyat, particularly in Selangor, where the Opposition had failed to make good their promises.
“They (the Opposition) kept making many promises before the general election in 2008 just to win the people's minds, but they have failed,” he added.
Najib said Pakatan was beset with problems but was quick to point fingers at others to hide its own weaknesses.
“Every little thing is a Barisan conspiracy or Umno's fault. This is their political game which cannot be accepted,” he added.
The Prime Minister said the Opposition's Buku Jingga or the Common Policy Framework made unrealistic promises which would lead to the nation's ruin.
Earlier, Najib had breakfast with local leaders at the Bandar Baru Bangi Seksyen 1 market.
Former factory worker Rani Nathan, 53, sought Najib's help in her Sosco claims over an accident almost a decade ago.
“I lost the use of my right arm after undergoing three surgeries following a fall in 2003. My Socso claims were rejected despite several appeals,” she said.
Rani was touched when Najib agreed to help her.
