Insurance agent charged with cheating girlfriend of RM100,000
KUALA LUMPUR: An insurance agent pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court Monday to a charge of cheating his girlfriend of RM100,000 two months ago.
Mohd Mahadir Othman, 34, is charged with cheating the 30-year-old woman, who is a teacher at a private school, by deceiving her into banking-in RM100,000 into his account in CIMB Bank for investment purposes.
Mohd Mahadir, of Kampung Pandan here, was alleged to have committed the offence at CIMB Bank Berhad, Level 19 Menara Bumiputra Commerce, 11 Jalan Raja Laut, Dang Wangi here on May 14 this year.
Judge Datuk Rozana Ali Yusoff allowed him bail of RM50,000 with one surety and set Aug 1 for mention.
