POPULAR actor Ady Putra is believed to have lost RM19,000 after investing in an online get-rich-quick scheme, reported Harian Metro.
“I will let the police investigate the matter,” said the 31-year-old actor from Singapore.
According to Ady, the incident was a private matter and he had been advised by the authorities to not talk about the case to the media or his fans.
“Please respect my privacy,” he said.
Ady, who has acted in local block-office hits, such as Pecah Panggun and KL Gangster, and is currently filming Suhan Movies Sdn Bhd's Balistik, said the event had affected him personally as well as his career as an actor.
“If it were not a police matter, I would have revealed all details at a press conference.
“Those who say that I do not want to share it with my fans are being untrue. I just want the police to carry out proper investigations,” he added.
He also noted that the incident had changed his life as an artiste.
“Enough ... I do not want to talk about this anymore,” he said, adding that he would be performing the umrah on Aug 6.
Kuala Lumpur commercial crimes chief Asst Comm Izany Abdul Ghany has confirmed receiving the report.
> Kosmo! reported that a family had claimed to have accidentally captured a ghostly image of a woman during a picnic in Telaga Bijih waterfall in Batu Gajah.
The picture was shown by a family member who refused to be identified.
According to the Form Six student, the incident took place at around 5pm when he was trying to take a picture of his family.
“I was shocked to see the ghostly image on my phone, resembling a woman as big as a tree and dressed in white.
“After I showed the picture to my family members, we immediately left the place,” he said.
