Sabah launches free Nur 15999 hotline at school

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah has launched its first free 24-hour Nur hotline 15999 at schools to tackle various children's security problems and social crisis faced by the youths, particularly in the rural areas.

Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry had initiated the hotline, which is accessible via public phones adjacent to the schools, to provide interactive advice for primary and secondary students.

"We have targeted about 577 public phones to be equipped with the hotline at 289 schools by year end," he said at the hotline launch co-organised by Pernec Corporation Berhad at the Kota Kinabalu High School here on Saturday. - Bernama
