KUALA LUMPUR: Besides the customary National Day parade at Dataran Merdeka, this year's event will include an evening celebration at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin, who disclosed this, said the evening programme would see cultural performances with Independence and 1Malaysia themes.
