Police: Take extra security precautions for Hari Raya holidays
KUANTAN: Pahang police chief Datuk Sharifuddin Ab Ghani advised people going back to their hometowns for the Hari Raya holidays to leave a light on in their backyards as a security measure.
Those leaving vehicles at home were also cautioned to fix an extra lock for added security, he said.
He also suggested that residents who should they be away for a long period of time inform the police to facilitate patrols in their area.
Residents could inform the nearest police station or booth of the matter, he added.
"They should also inform their neighbours of their absence, as an added precaution," he said. - Bernama
