Najib gets the thumbs-up from youths


PUTRAJAYA: Many youths who visited Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s Hari Raya open house found him to be an approachable Prime Minister as he communicates with them via Facebook, Twitter and his blog, and personally during his walkabouts.

Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk S.K. Devamany who spoke to some of them, said they praised Najib’s attitude and willingness to hear views and ideas as well as get feedback to overcome existing weaknesses.

“It is clear that through Najib’s leadership which began on April 3, 2009, the people have witnessed many changes.

“A number of them also said Najib was their role model,” Devamany added.

He said more than 100,000 people came for the open house.

“They expressed confidence in Najib’s leadership and the transformation efforts being undertaken,” he said, adding that they described Najib as the Father of 1Malaysia and Father of the Country’s Transforma-tion.

“The people not only came from the Klang Valley but also from Negri Sembilan, Malacca, Perak, Pahang and Johor to wish the Prime Minister and express their support,” said Devamany, who is also a MIC vice-president. — Bernama
