Newborn baby found at newspaper shop
KUALA TERENGGANU: A healthy newborn baby girl was found abandoned in front of a newspaper shop at Jalan Sultan Omar, here Wednesday.
Shop owner Rozlan Shahril Hamzani, 31, told reporters that he was shocked to find the baby wrapped with a blue towel, wearing a diaper and placed in a travel bag, at the door of his shop at 6am.
Terengganu Criminal Investigation Department chief ACP K. Manoharan said based on her physical condition, the baby was believed to have been born a few days ago.
He said she had been sent to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital for monitoring, he urged members of the public to contact the nearest police station if they had any information on the case. - Bernama
