Don’t hinder building of new school, politicians told


TAMAN Keladi Sri Mahamariamman Temple president M. Jegathesan has called on political parties in Kedah not to raise problems in the building of a new Tamil school in Sungai Petani, Makkal Osai reported.

He said some politicians, for their personal gains, were raising new issues that delayed the construction of the new school.

He said politicians should understand that it was difficult to get approval to build new Tamil schools.

He added that a plot of land near the temple had been identified and the necessary applications submitted to the Education Ministry.

It was reported that Chitra, 32, of Kundalahalli Colony, was a housekeeper at a garment factory in Bangalore.

The murder came to light on July 25 when one of the workers found her body in some bushes.

Police investigations revealed that Chitra had fallen in love with a colleague, M. Nagaraj, 23, who met with an accident three months ago and returned to his hometown to recuperate.

During his absence, Chitra fell in love with Mohan.
