Bouncer gunned down outside pub

KUALA LUMPUR: A man was gunned down at point blank outside a pub by a lone gunman at Jalan 5/4, Serdang Perdana.

K. Selvan, 27, who worked as a bouncer at the pub, was having drinks with two friends outside the pub at 11.30pm on Friday when two men arrived on a motorcycle.

One of Selvan’s friends, R. Selvam, 38, a despatch rider, said one of the men who was wearing a full face helmet walked up to them, coolly pulled out a gun and fired three shots.

He then ran back to the motorcycle and sped off.

Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Razak Elias said the motive of the incident was likely to be revenge as the suspect had only targeted the deceased.

“The deceased was shot once in the head and twice in the body. He died on the spot,” he said, not ruling out the possibility that they were hired gunmen.

He added that Selvan did not have a criminal record.

No arrest has been made so far.

Selvan’s body was sent to the Serdang Hospital for a post mortem.
