Cops nab teenage boy over snatch thefts in Brickfields

KUALA LUMPUR: Police believe they have solved several snatch theft cases in Brickfields after arresting a 16-year-old boy at a mall in Jalan Klang Lama on Monday.

Kuala Lumpur CID chief Datuk Ku Chin Wah said patrolling policemen caught the youth as he was behaving suspiciously and was not at school.

"Searching a bag he was carrying, the policemen found three mobile phones and six 'Touch n Go' cards," he told reporters.

Upon questioning him, the policemen found out that he and another person had snatched the handbag of a 64-year-old woman in Taman Desa last Saturday.

Ku said police were looking for the accomplice. - Bernama
