Grass cutting nuisance along highways

IT is common to see grass cutting by the roadside or highways by contract workers hired by highway concessionaires.

Though this is carried out to ensure cleanliness, I often find this hazardous to the roadusers, especially motorcyclists who happen to pass by the grass cutting area.

They may experience showers of small stones, bottle caps, etc. from the cutter blades flying towards their path and some may hit them and cause injuries.

It can also lead to road accidents.

I am a motorcyclist and have experienced this quite often.

In some instances, I have to cover my face with one hand or turn my face away to avoid being hit by small missiles.

The worst thing is that this is often carried out during busy hours where most of us are travelling to work or going home.

I would like to suggest that grass cutting be done during the least busy hours or on weekends.
