BN Youth gears up for GE with cyber campaign
KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional Youth has set up a cyber team to help relay information online in a more coordinated and effective manner as it gears up for the coming general election.
The initiative, which was launched by Barisan Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin, also aims to provide a platform for those on Facebook, Twitter and blogs to interact with other pro-Barisan supporters.
“This platform will enable us to reach out to youths in a better manner unlike in the 2008 elections when we did not have a proper online network to address misinformation.
“The online vacuum was one of the reasons for the (political) tsunami,” he said at Barisan Youth Cyber Team launch here yesterday.
