EBX Group CEO Eike Batista calls on PM


PUTRAJAYA: Eike Batista, chairman and chief executive officer of the Brazilian conglomerate, EBX Group, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak Thursday at his office at the Perdana Putra Building.

Batista arrived at the Prime Minister's Office at 9am, accompanied by his executive advisor, Aziz Ben Ammar, and EBX executive director Marcello Horchades.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop and Petronas president and chief executive officer Datuk Shamsul Azhar Abbas were also present at the meeting.

EBX, founded by Batista in 1983, is a Brazilian holding company that develops and manages business activities in the mining, logistics, oil and gas, real estate, energy, renewable resources, and entertainment sectors. - Bernama
