Three Nigerian students charged with robbery


PETALING JAYA: Three Nigerian students pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court Monday to robbing a fellow Nigerian, last month. Samual Udoh Nkamore, 24, Olonade Olawale Olajuwan, 27, and Okarie Ugochukwu Innocent, 24, were charged with snatching a gold chain from Iheanacho Raphael Ezeakor, 41, also a student, alongside the Sprint Highway near Eastin Hotel here, at 5.30 am on Aug 16.

They were charged under Section 395 of the Penal Code which is punishable by a maximum of 20 years imprisonment and possible caning, upon conviction.

Judge Hayatul Akmal Abdul Aziz declined bail and fixed Oct 9 for case mention.

DPP Choong Kak Sen prosecuted and the accused were represented by lawyer Thiru Kumar. - Bernama
