Prince William and Catherine arrive for official visit
SEPANG: Scores of media photographers and fans waited for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and his wife Catherine, as they arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport here to begin their official visit.
Media reports had indicated some 100 foreign journalists and photographers from Britain, United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Germany, China, France, and Indonesia would cover the visit.
The couple were then ushered to their motorcade to Putrajaya, where they met Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor at the prime minister's official residence, Seri Perdana, before attending a luncheon with them.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also had an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah and attended a royal dinner at Istana Negara.
Malaysia is their second destination after Singapore. They are on a nine-day tour of the Far East as representatives of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in conjunction with the celebration to mark her 60-year reign.
