Netizens: S’pore staged the scene for royal visit

SIN Chew Daily reported that a photo taken during the recent visit by Prince William and Kate Middleton to the Queenstown flats in Singapore on Wednesday went viral on the Internet with Netizens questioning if the scenario was staged.
The photo showed that the flats' playground was filled with children and adults using all the facilities at 3.45pm.
There were several men doing tai chi, children playing the monkey bar, several girls skipping and a group of women using the fitness corner.
Comments were rife that the government had staged the scenario by arranging the crowd and activities, as it was unusual for typical Singaporeans to engage in outdoor activities under such humid and hot weather.
Some Netizens even pointed out that most children would be attending tuition classes at school at that time.The report said that the owner of the photo Channel NewsAsia had yet to come forward with a clarification.

Quoting a fruit survey by MBG FruitShop on 5,326 respondents, it said 64% put mango on top of their list followed by 58% (grapes) and 53% (watermelon).
The king of fruits, durian, ranked sixth with 46%.
MBG managing director Adnan Lee was quoted as saying that mango was well liked for its aroma, juiciness and variety.
Generally, he said Malaysians preferred fruits that were refreshing, juicy and easy to peel, such as mango, grapes, watermelon, apple and dragon fruit.
