BY MOHD FARHAAN SHAH

JOHOR BARU: Johor police seized RM1mil worth of drugs after raiding a house which had been turned into a processing lab in Seri Alam.

State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff said Saturday that the police had raided the house in Taman Desa Harmoni on Sept 13 at around 1.30am and arrested three suspects who were sleeping.

There were two men and a woman aged between 35 and 39. They were all locals and tested positive for drugs, he said.

One of the men was found to have a previous drug use conviction.

"We seized numerous pills and powders. The pills were found to be fake Ecstasy pills mixed with Axatar pills.

"These drugs were meant for the local market," he told reporters during a press conference at the Johor police headquarters on Saturday.
