MAS adds fifth daily flight to Bangkok
PETALING JAYA: To commemorate the 40th anniversary of flights between Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, MAS is adding a fifth daily service on this route from Oct 28, increasing total capacity for the route by 25%.
There will be a total weekly capacity of 5,568 seats in each direction, compared to the current 4,448 seats, MAS said in a statement Wednesday.
The new MH796 will depart Kuala Lumpur at 9.55pm and arrive in Bangkok at 11pm. It will depart from the Thai capital at 6.20am and arrive at KLIA at 9.30am.
MAS said it will continue with the existing twice-daily B737-800 services between Phuket and Kuala Lumpur and its code share operations with Bangkok Air for Bangkok-Koh Samui (31 weekly flights), Bangkok-Phuket (14 weekly flights), Bangkok-Chiang Mai (14 weekly flights), Koh Samui-Phuket (14 weekly flights) and Koh Samui-Kuala Lumpur (daily flights).
