Moderate quake hits Nicobar Islands
KUALA LUMPUR: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted the Nicobar Islands in the Indian Ocean region at 7.24 pm Saturday.
The epicentre of the earthquake was 142km southwest of Great Nicobar and 785km southwest of Langkawi, Kedah, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department in a statement Saturday. - Bernama
