DPM: Give BN victory to protect sovereignty and harmony

By EMBUN MAJID

LANGKAWI: Barisan Nasional should be given the mandate to ensure the country's sovereignty and harmony is protected, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

He said a Barisan victory would ensure that the negative political culture being promoted by the opposition would not harm the people.

He said since the 12th general election, the opposition had been going against a culture that upholds the value of unity and harmony among the people.

"Everyday we hear negative actions carried out by the opposition, (such as) stepping on the photograph of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and the attempt to change the Jalur Gemilang," he told a press conference after opening the Langkawi Umno Division delegates meeting here.

Muhyiddin said the opposition have been extreme in their quest to win the coming general election and were willing to do anything just to gain support.
