More Africans nabbed for drugs at KLIA


SEPANG: More African nationals have been nabbed by the authorities at KLIA after they were found to be in possession of drugs.

Among those arrested recently were two Nigerian men, who had swallowed bags of methamphetamine (or syabu) weighing 1.296kg and 1.581kg respectively.

The drugs have a collective market value of RM719,250 and the two men were detained on separate occasions at the KLIA main terminal building on June 29 and July 4.

From July 21 until recently, four African women were also found with the same type of drugs worth RM2.82mil hidden in their luggages, said KLIA Customs director Badaruddin Mohamed Rafik.
