PAS central committee meeting skips Nasharudin issue
KUALA LUMPUR: The PAS central committee, which met here Sunday, did not discuss the issue of former deputy president Nasharudin Mat Isa.
PAS vice-president Salahuddin Ayub, who was met after the meeting, said PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang had decided that any discussion on the issue should be made at the Syura Council meeting Sunday night.
Two PAS leaders, met after the three-hour meeting, said that Nasharudin's issue was not on the agenda of the meeting.
PAS information chief Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said the party focus was on preparation for general election although the exact date was yet to be announced.
Selangor PAS commissioner Dr Abdul Rani Othman said the central committee meeting discussed about the conventions and seminars to be held soon.
Nasharudin, the Member of Parliament for Bachok, was slammed by some PAS members after he urged the party to review its cooperation with Pakatan Rakyat. - Bernama
