PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysia Education Blueprint will be presented to the Cabinet at end of the month said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. He added the blueprint would then be finalised once it is presented to the Council of Rulers for consent.

“The Education Ministry has taken a new step of carrying out the Malaysian Educational Development Plan (PPPM) through the ministry's 1Agenda programme, which will combine all the initiatives from the National Key Result Areas (NKRA), the National Key Economic Areas (NKEA) and existing programmes.

“Hopefully, this 1Agenda will improve cooperation between departments and prevent them from working in silos,” he said in his New Year's Address to Education Ministry staff here on Thursday.

Muhyiddin, who is also the Education Minister, added that the ministry would carry out four initiatives over the first 100 days of this year.

This includes the launching of a parent network and a web portal hosting videos of exemplary teachers' teaching methods.
