Controversial speaker's upcoming talk cancelled over security fears

PETALING JAYA: An upcoming talk featuring controversial speaker Sharifah Zohra Jabeen Syed Shah Miskin, titled "How To Make Your First Million", has been cancelled, its organisers said Wednesday.
Sharifah Zohra shot into the spotlight earlier this week after a video of her chastising a second-year law student during a forum in Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) went viral on Facebook and other social media networks.
Organiser Lina Ahmad said police had made recommendations to cancel the talk, after some Netizens planned to stage a protest against Sharifah outside the venue in Kuala Lumpur on Jan 26.
"The committee discussed the pros and cons, and decided that it would be best to cancel it,” said Lina, who refused to comment further on the matter.
