Kentucky college posts alert of campus shooting, two reported dead
(Reuters) - A shooting erupted at a community college in Kentucky on Tuesday, the school said in a posting on its website, and local media reports said two people were killed and a third was wounded.
The shooting was reported by the Hazard Community and Technical College, located southeast of Lexington, in a brief online alert that said only: "Shooting at HCTC Hazard Campus."
According to local news reports citing a college administrator, the shooting occurred at about 4:30 p.m. local time, prompting a security "lockdown" of the campus. No further details were immediately available.
