Ex-Seberang Perai DO charged with intent to outrage modesty

BUKIT MERTAJAM: An former district officer has claimed trial in a Magistrate's court here to a charge of using criminal force with the intention to outrage the modesty of a woman.
Former Seberang Perai Tengah district officer Roslan Yahaya, 51, allegedly commited the offence on Noramiza Azmee, 29 on April 26, 2011 at his office in Jalan Betek, Sungai Rambai.
The charge under Section 324 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to ten years, or whipping, or both.
Magistrate Chiang Kian Hong set bail at RM8,000 and set Feb 25 for the next date.
