By ONG HAN SEAN

KUANTAN: Police here have arrested four men suspected to be involved in motorcycle thefts in the district.

Kuantan deputy OCPD Supt Abdul Aziz Ahmad said the four individuals, aged 24 to 25, were picked up early Friday in Felda Neram at the Terengganu border.

"They would come over to Kuantan and steal motorcycles to be cannibalised for parts. We have sent a scuba team to recover the remains of motorcycles that have been disposed off in the river nearby," he told reporters at his office here.

Supt Abdul Aziz said the suspects were unemployed and believed to be drug addicts.

"They have been remanded for a week and will be charged soon," he said, adding that the suspects were also involved in car and lorry thefts.
