PETALING JAYA: Over 80 arrests have been made by members of the motorcycle patrol units which were launched nationwide in December, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

The units were deployed in residential areas where cases of break-in have been reported.

Hishammuddin said the arrests were made in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Penang.

“Those arrested were involved in theft, possession of stolen items, drug possession and robbery cases,” he told a press conference after flagging off 17 units at the Pandan Indah police station on Sunday.
