Dr Chua: MCA members to join search for missing boy William Yau
PETALING JAYA: The MCA will mobilise its one million members to help in the search for William Yau (pix), the six-year-old boy who went missing in Putra Heights here on Wednesday.
Its president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek said he had directed the party's grassroots to assist the family in every possible way.
“This is about bringing the boy back to the family. It's not about politics.
“We appeal to all Malaysians to join us to trace the boy,” he said.
William was wearing a yellow t-shirt when he went missing in Putra Heights and has a scar on the left side of his forehead from a fall.
Dr Chua said the party would be printing posters and leaflets for distribution at strategic places, including markets and eating spots.
He said the MCA would also rope in its network of Chinese guilds and associations in the search.
Dr Chua urged Malaysians to pray for the safety of the boy, adding that it was the wish of every Malaysian that the family would be reunited soon in the Chinese New Year season.
He said he would discuss with the police on how the MCA and Malaysians could work together effectively in the search.
