Teacher keen on starting family dies in accident

JASIN: A teacher’s dream of starting a family was shattered when he was killed after a car ran over his head.

Azhar Jamboree Abdullah, 37, from Taman Merlimau Utama, was believed to have lost control of his motorcycle and fallen onto the road before being run over by a car along Jalan Melaka-Muar, Merlimau.

An oncoming car could not avoid him or stop in time. The car hit him and ran over his head, killing him on the spot during the incident on Wednesday.

His wife Rafeah Alias, 39, said at the Hospital Jasin mortuary that her husband acted as usual that morning.

“He had his favourite chocolate drink and told me that he still wanted to have children although we had been childless after being married for six years. He even told me that he wished to perform the umrah.

A family member said Azhar’s remains would be buried at his hometown village in Serkam Pantai.
