Thunderstorms and rains in next few days


KUCHING: The general weather forecast in most parts of Sarawak is cloudy with either isolated thunderstorms or rains for the next few days.

Such weather condition, which is normal during the northeast monsoon, is expected to bring more rainfall this month.

Isolated thunderstorms and rains can be expected in Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu and Miri between today and Monday.

However, to date, the Malaysian Meteorological Services Department has not issued any abnormal thunderstorm/heavy rain and strong winds and rough seas warning for the state.

In Kuching and Miri, precipitation is forecast between 40% and 50%, while in Bintulu between 20% and 40, and in Miri, 20%.

Temperatures in these divisions range between 23 and 32 degrees Celsius.
