PORT KLANG: William Yau Zhen Zhong's parents spent an hour at the Sungai Sireh jetty near here where the body was found.

They were shown around the location where fishermen Yusof Osman, 53, and Satarudin Kamal, 45, made the find.

“As we explained to them where we found their son's body, it was very painful for us as well as we could feel what they were going through,” Yusof said.

Yau Kok Kang, 32, and his wife Goh Ying Ying, 26, then sat close to the jetty where Willam's body was brought out of the water and conducted prayers to appease William's spirit which they believed, could be wandering at the location.

Yusof added that the couple thanked him and Satarudin for finding their son's body and handed them a token cash contribution.

“The parents are heartbroken but I believe by finding their son's body they feel there is some consolation,” said Yusof.

William went missing on Jan 16 and his decomposed body was found floating at the jetty last Thursday. It was later identified by his parents.

The couple has two other children, a boy aged seven and a one-year-old girl.
