Situation in flood-hit Kelantan, Terengganu remains unchanged
KUALA LUMPUR: The situation in flood-hit Kelantan and Terengganu remained unchanged overnight, with 59 people still at evacuation centres as of 10am Thursday, according to the National Security Council portal.
In Terengganu, 41 evacuees were being accommodated at two relief centres, 20 of them from the Hulu Terengganu district at the Batu 24 community hall and 21 from Setiu at the surau of Kampung Nyatoh.
In Kelantan, 18 evacuees were being housed at a relief centre in Pasir Puteh.
Meanwhile, in Kuala Lumpur the underpass at Jalan Tun Razak, near Ampang Park, for vehicles heading to the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) was closed from 5am to 9am Thursday due to flash floods, leading to traffic congestion as people headed to their workplaces.
A spokesman of the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Police said the underpass was reopened at 9.30 am after Kuala Lumpur City Hall workers flushed out the floodwaters. - Bernama
