Child Interview Centre records statement from William Yau's brother

KUALA LUMPUR: The Child Interview Centre (CIC) (pix) Thursday recorded the statement of an older brother of the late William Yau Zhen Zhong to facilitate police investigations into the death of the six-year-old boy last week.

William, the second child of Goh Ying Ying, 28, and Yau Kok Kang, 32, was reported missing on Jan 16 at Jalan Putra Mahkota, Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, believed after alighting from the family car to look for his parents who had gone to an electrical shop.

On Jan 24, the decomposed body of a boy was recovered from the vicinity of the jetty at Kampung Sungai Sireh in Port Klang and a DNA report by the Chemistry Department confirmed that the body was that of William.

Attempts by reporters to interview the parents were still futile as they were still in a trauma. - Bernama
