Stench leads to body of dead cabbie
KUALA LUMPUR: When neighbours complained of a foul smell coming from a taxi driver's apartment, the management forced open the unit door only to find the man dead.
K.R. Sritharan, 48, was found on the floor of the living room at the apartment in Kepong at about 6pm on Wednesday.
According to a neighbour, Sritharan lived alone in the apartment as his family stayed elsewhere.
Meanwhile, 47-year-old Lim Kah Lee was found dead in his budget hotel room in Pudu.
Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Zainuddin Ahmad said Lim was supposed to have checked out of his room on Wednesday, after staying for three days.
A hotel worker, who went to check on Lim when he failed to check out, found the door locked. Firefighters were then brought in to break down the door.
Lim was lying on the bed bleeding from his left wrist. Medical personnel said he had been dead for three hours.
