Karpal Singh: Election fiasco an embarrassment

GEORGE TOWN: DAP chairman Karpal Singh has described the party election fiasco as an embarrassment, and urged DAP election director Pooi Weng Keong to withdraw his resignation as it was an honest mistake.
Saying it was a mistake that should not have happened, Karpal told reporters that DAP's Central Executive Committee (CEC) had decided to make the error known to the public to be transparent.
"We expect to receive criticism from various parties but announcing the mistake is to show that we are being transparent," he told a press conference here Saturday.
Karpal, who is also Bukit Gelugor MP, urged Pooi to withdraw his resignation as he should not to blamed for the honest mistake.
