Woman shocked to find stranger in her car
KUCHING: A clerk was petrified after finding a stranger in her car which was parked next to an entertainment outlet at Jalan Sekama here on Sunday.
Tan, 27, from Taman Guan, Jalan Batu Lintang told the police she went out of the entertainment outlet and head straight to her car around 3am.
As she opened the door, she was shocked to find a stranger sitting in the driver’s seat of her Perodua Kenari.
“The man looked nervous and told me that he thought the car was his friend’s.
“I believed then that it was his excuse as I remembered I had locked my car prior to going to the entertainment outlet.
“I suspect that the man was trying to steal my car,” said Tan.
The man then went to his black Perodua Myvi parked not far from Tan’s car and drove away.
Tan immediately started her car and tailed the man around the city. Realising that he was being followed, the man sped off to escape her.
Fortunately for Tan, she managed to jot down the plate number of the man’s car. A police report was lod-ged at Sekama station afterwards.
