Woman fined for forged visa sticker
GEORGE TOWN: A Chinese national was fined RM5,000 by a magistrate’s court here for possessing a forged visa sticker on her passport.
Zhong Xinshan, 23, from Sichuan, pleaded guilty to having the forged visa at Garden Inn Hotel in Jalan Anson here at 6.30pm on Jan 1.
In pleading for leniency, Zhong initially said she came to the country for a holiday but she then changed her story and admitted that she came here to work.
Magistrate Norhayati Ibrahim ordered Zhong to pay the fine, in default four months’ jail.
