Branch chief wants Karpal and Lim to quit

PETALING JAYA: A DAP branch leader has called for the resignation of party chairman Karpal Singh and secretary-general Lim Guan Eng for the poor management of the central executive committee (CEC) elections.

Desa Dahlia DAP branch deputy chairman Jesu Dason said that the two should not be arrogant or consider themselves “above the law” when it comes to holding themselves accountable.

“Why are they afraid of having independent auditors and why have they not submitted the annual report to the Registrar of Societies (RoS) even though it has been two months since the elections?

“Fraud and manipulation during the CEC elections is not a new matter and I urge all DAP members to come forward and save the party from the arrogant leaders,” he said in a press statement yesterday.

The party leadership amended the election results more than two weeks after it was held in December, claiming that a computer glitch had occurred.
