SUBANG JAYA: Crowds of people took advantage of a special reopening discount to shop at the Giant Hypermarket in USJ Subang Jaya.

The hypermarket, which closed in 2011 to make way for renovations was reopened to the public recently.

GCH Retail (M) Sdn Bhd commercial director Ian Cruddas yesterday said the three-storey hypermarket mall has been rebuilt with a trading space of nearly 80,000 sq ft.

It will stock a wide range of products from fresh foods and vegetables, live seafood, everyday essentials such as household appliances, electrical applications, shoes, clothes and stationery.

Other new features of the store are shopper-friendly shelf displays and state-of-the-art chillers which are convenient and provide easy access.

Cruddas hoped that the mall, which was re-developed at a cost of RM80mil, would continue to be the one-stop shopping destination for Subang Jaya residents and those from adjacent neighbourhoods.
