Federal govt agencies to implement PR1MA in Penang
GEORGE TOWN: The 1Malaysia People's Housing Project (PR1MA) in Penang will be implemented by Syarikat Perumahan Nasional Berhad (SPNB), Penang Regional Development Authority (Perda) and JKP Sdn Bhd.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop said the Federal government agencies were given the job to build affordable housing.
"My worry is that the projects can't take off as the Penang government is deliberately delaying their approval," he told reporters after a meeting of the Penang Federal Development Council here Friday.
Nor Mohamed who is also MP for Tasek Gelugor said that several affordable housing projects given to Perda and JKP Sdn Bhd have yet to be approved by the Penang government.
"The plans were submitted three years ago.
“I hope the Penang government will consider approving the housing projects in the interest of the people," he added. - Bernama
