Woman fined RM700 for threatening man with scissors
PETALING JAYA: A woman was fined RM700, in default 25 days jail, by the Magistrate's Court, here Friday for threatening a handphone shop worker at a shopping mall, with a pair of scissors, six days ago.
Magistrate Nazri Omran handed the sentence after Suraya Zullkafli, 32, pleaded guilty to threatening Iskandar Muhammed Nasir, 28, at The Hello Station (M) Sdn Bhd, First Floor, No.1, Jalan SS7/26A, Paradigm Mall, at 8.30pm on Jan 26.
According to the facts of the case, Suraya, a former worker at the handphone shop had pointed the pair of scissors at the victim and threatened to harm him.
Iskandar however, managed to avoid the attack but the woman reiterated her threat to harm him and his family.
The prosecution was led by DPP Siti Fatimah Yahya while Shah Rizal Abdul Manan represented the accused. - Bernama
