Tee Yong: You can expect Pakatan tussle for PM post
KUALA LUMPUR: Expect a tussle for the Prime Minister's post should Pakatan Rakyat win the general election, said MCA Young Professionals Bureau chief Datuk Chua Tee Yong.
“Pakatan does not have a common direction on who should become Prime Minister among them. That itself is a big sign.
“I know there will be a tussle for the position if they win. We do not know who will become Prime Minister. But in the end, it is the people who will suffer,” he said at the MCA Chinese New Year Open House here on Sunday.
He added that even some delegates at the PAS muktamar had called for its president Datuk Seri Hadi Awang to become Prime Minister instead of PKR leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“They had said clearly that they want Hadi as Prime Minister,” he added.
Pakatan's top leadership had previously agreed that Anwar should helm the post but this has been contested by some within Pakatan.
