Puspen inmate charged with murdering fellow inmate
KUANTAN: An inmate from the Narcotic Addiction Rehabilitation Centre (Puspen) in Kuantan was charged in the Magistrate's Court here Wednesday for the murder of a fellow inmate two weeks ago.
The accused, Mohd Faizal Mohd Yusof, 33, from Kemaman, Terengganu was charged with causing the death of Mohd Wiraliezyaan Ambiah, 31, at room No. 4, Blok A, Triage Observation room, Puspen Kuantan, Jalan Gambang, at 7.50pm 3 Feb.
However, no plea was recorded from the accused.
Magistrate Tuan Ruzuaini Tuan Lah fixed March 19 to hear the chemistry and post-mortem reports.
It was reported that the accused, who had arrived at the centre just two days ago, had allegedly strangled and beaten up Mohd Wiraliezyaan after an argument.
