Two dead, one injured in car-bus collision
KOTA BARU: A local man and a Thai woman were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with an express bus at the 19km Jalan Kota Baharu-Pengkalan Kubor stretch in Tumpat on Monday.
Mohd Nasharudin Sidek, 39, who was driving the car, and the woman, identified as Rohanee Samamae, 35, were killed in the crash about 5.20am.
Another passenger, Thai national Wae Hanisah Kolu, 22, who sustained serious head and body injuries, was warded at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital.
Tumpat traffic police chief Awang Abu Bakar said the collision occurred when the car, from Pengkalan Kubor, was heading towards Kota Baru.
He said the bodies were sent to the Tumpat Hospital. - Bernama
