Kapar BN chief says Selangor DAP leader wants to join Barisan
KLANG: A Selangor DAP leader has expressed a desire to quit and join Barisan Nasional (BN) due to dissatisfaction with internal problems plaguing the party, according to Kapar Barisan chairman Datuk Abdul Rahman Palil.
Abdul Rahman claimed to have received an SMS to the effect from the DAP leader several few days ago.
The SMS claimed that the DAP leader had lost faith in the top leadership which appeared to be unrealistic in its political cooperation and struggle.
"I cannot reveal more details. This matter is being discussed seriously," Abdul Rahman told Bernama on Saturday.
Commenting on reports that some PKR members are trying to topple Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Abdul Rahman said it came as no surprise to him.
Anwar has become a burden to the party and the opposition, he said.
Newspaper reports said a group of Penang PKR grassroots are making efforts to topple Anwar and his people due to dissatisfaction with the party leadership. - Bernama
