KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil urged Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak to form a committee to investigate and audit claims and issues brought up by Kolej Universiti Insaniah (Kuin) staff.

The Wanita Umno chief said it was the Kedah government's responsibility to resolve the issue.

"Do not wash your hands of the problem. They must be responsible," she said during a press conference after meeting five representatives of the staff and six lawyers.

She added the wing is offering free legal advice to them.

It was reported that a group representing the staff had recently gave a memorandum to the Mentri Besar recently.

The staff said they also hoped Azizan would settle the problem they had been facing for the past four years, This includes salary increments, bonus, salary deductions and the existence of Kuin subsidiary companies, which the staff claimed were not making any profit for the university college.
