Flash floods no fault of ours, says Litrak
SUBANG JAYA: The highway concessionaire of Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP) said it is not to blame for the massive flash flood in Puchong on Monday.
Litrak said it had maintained the drains which cross under the highway and had checked them as recently as a day before the flood happened.
Litrak head of communications Shah Rizal Mohamed Fawzi said there was nothing wrong at that time.
He added that Litrak will not be compensating vehicle owners whose machines were damaged in the flood.
“They are advised to claim from their insurance,” he said at a Chinese New Year celebration for orphans in Sunway Lagoon yesterday.
He added that Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim also ordered contractor of the LRT Line Extension Project, Syarikat Prasarana Negara, to clean the drains along the construction site close to the flooded area.
